Cool topic MIT! Geez,MITTY you are a regular adventure dude! This really IS the night to find out about your fellow Elf Maniacs..Cool! (This is going to be fun!)

I've often been called a jack-of-all-trades-master-at-none sooo here goes...

1.) Retail Manager - That's pretty much what i'm doing now and having a ball!

2.) Waiter - WoW, seems like weve ALL 'done time' in the service industry, eh?

3.) Host - My bosses at the retaurant had the notion i'd make a great Host..go figure?

4.) Ladies Shoes Salesman - Dont Laugh! Yes I was 'Al Bundy' for a couple of years..and had THE most fun doing it! I've worked for Nine West, ENZO angiolini, STEVE MADDEN and a # of Dept. stores.

5.) Summercamp Counselor - did this for a couple of Summers and had SSOO much fun! When the little tykes found out I could doodle, come up with EPIC action figure adventures, and give a complete synopsis (with pictures!) of any of their favorite Saturday morning cartoons, I quickly became the hands down favorite counselor!


6.) Sports Nutrition Specialist - After working for G.N.C I had the notion that I wanted to be a Personal Trainer. Kinda got bored with it though and got into retail.

7.) Actor - I went through a phase where I fancied myself a thespian, and decided to whole-heartedly pursue it as a career! Suffice to say that after a year or so of endless casting calls, rejections and miscellaneous dissapointments I 'woke up' and got a real job!

8.) Model - A friend of mine talked me into trying it and what do ya know I got some work! Did some magazines, a couple of Calendars and still do the occasional pictoral here and there.

As a card-carrying 14 year old comic/sci-fi geek trapped in a grown up body though, all of the above will (hopefully) soon give way to...

Self-published comic book Writer and Artist!

It's just a dream right now...but for the past 2 1/2 years i've been sorta working on a Graphic Novel that i've had the idea for since I was like 9 yrs old! It's taking me absolutely forever to finish, but I am SOOOO excited about it!!! I have this whole crazy promotional idea for it's premiere. Real kooky 'cant believe no ones thought of that' kinda stuff. Hopefully in the next year or so the Elficionados will have the comic-book scoop of the century!! ( JK! , but I AM hoping that people in the industry will take notice )

Awww geez, I just realized that i've typed a 'Novel'...! Sorry buds, you should know by now that I tend to be kinda long winded ..

age) Job - Description.

11-19) Little Brother Binder - The little brats (who later graduated into full-fledged assholes) just wouldn't learn. A couple times of holding them over the stairs by their ankles or tying the bathroom door shut almost shut them up for about 15 minutes.

15) Mover / Packer - Basically I carried big heavy stuff for old people or stupid young people. Sometimes I got to stick all of someone's stuff into boxes and cross my fingers that nothing got broken. Sometimes I got to pack "marital aid" videos. On the bright side, I only ever saw one dildo and I didn't have to touch it. I got to work with big strong guys and stupid weak guys. They always smoked weed, so they gave me all the beer.

16)Waiter at a Buffet - As glamourous as that sounds, it really wasn't. Let's see...you wait on people who get their own food. How many people left you a tip? None! How much did you make an hour? 1/4 Minimum wage! I quit on the busiest day of the year because they told me to polish my shoes.

16-18) Fast food cook - At McDonald's even! I got free food. That seems good, but I knew what was in it...Did you know that one ingredient in Chicken McNuggets is fish extract? Yes, FISH EXTRACT.

18-20) Cart Pusher - Yeah...I spent 8 hours a day pushing around rows of Shopping carts. I got really buff. I also almost got ran over everyday. Sometimes I actually got ran over.

19-Now) Publishment Distribution Engineer - Yeah, I'm a paperboy. I drive a route in a nearby town. As stupid as that sounds, it actually the best job I've ever had. I only work one day a week and I make as much as I did working 40 hours a week in the other jobs.

This will seem chaotic, but keep in mind i had to work durring summers to put myself through college.

*Cooking Burgers at Numerous Fast-Food places.
*Working the Cash Register at Numerous Fast-Food places.
*Making Pizza at Pizza Hut
*Waiter (or "Server" as they called it)
*Packaging rolls of Wrapping Paper.
*Working at a Styrofom factory (really HOT)
*Working at a Lumber treatment plant. (assembling fence posts, cutting wood, stacking wood, and even shoveling sawdust)
*Cutting and measuring electrical wire.
*Data entry (type type type)
*Designing cassete covers. (my first carear-oriented job)
*Designing Hotel Guest Directories (my current job)
*Illustration (i actually got a small project to draw some cartoons for my company once)

Of course, being the youngest one here I've only had one job so far. Babysitting. It's good because I'm more of a kid person than a people person. Kids are a LOT more fun to hang out with. Probably going to get a [i]real[i] job this summer. But I want to do something related to comics.

Hmmmm...Shall I post my resume? Naw, I'll go back to the dawn of time for ya'll.

There's a lot of overlap as I often had two or even three jobs at once.

1- age 13, I was a yard waterer. Yes, a yard waterer. They were old people and they wanted a nice green yard?whatever!

2- age 15-17, babysitter. Gack. One little bastard tried to kill me. He was a little-league footballer and he caught me off-guard, tackled me and we flew over the couch, knocking the wind out of me. He was strangling me before I could breath and his brother had to pull him off me. I had yelled at him because he was using a baby bluejay as a baseball. A year later he beat his dog to death, no joke.

3- age 17, clerk at a card shop/novelty store. Yup, that kind of novelties. To this day if I walk into a Hallmark I start straightening cards. Don?t let me catch you putting one back where it doesn?t belong?.grrrr.

4- age 18, college housing office employee, my college did room inspections every week, and if you didn?t pass guess who got to clean it up for you. Easily the most HORRIBLE job EVER!!! I cleaned guys? rooms. Guys are pigs, I didn?t know mold came in so many colors! I did this for about a week before I decided I?d rather starve.

5- age 18-20, grocery store employee, I worked at the salad bar. I chopped things up. I got to play with knives. Hehe?

6- age 18-20, paper girl! Gee, a lot of us did this. I was the circulation director for the college newspaper. Uck. Thing was, I had to drive the paper 30 miles to get it printed and often had to sleep in my car outside the printer until it was done. Did I say UCK!

7- age 19, haunted house employee, I did costumes, special effects and make up and got to drop out of trees on to people and chase them around like a loony. Fun.

8- age 19-24, college newspaper, I started a photographer and ended as editor in chief. I was also a graphic designer. Oh, hell, I was everything at least once there. It was my life for a loooong-ass time. I miss it. I loved it. *Sniff*

9- age 22, multi-media designer, I designed and created a multimedia CD-ROM simulation to teach journalism students how to cover disasters. It?s currently a supplement to St. Martin?s Press beginning college journalism textbook. It wasn?t as exciting as it sounds.

10- age 22-24, college library clerk, I talked, surfed the net and read so I use the term ?work? loosely here. They paid me to warm the seat. But I did work at night, so I got to go hunting for people having sex in the stacks. That was fun. *evil grin*

11- age 24, reporter and photographer, I am a staff reporter and photographer for a major suburban newspaper in the Kansas City metro area. It?s not as exciting as it sounds either. Really. Except I have spiffy press credentials.

*makes a face* I feel like I haven't done very much with my life...

1) 12-17 yrs - Babysitting. Nothing really interesting, just normal little toddlers who only seemed to watch the same Barney tapes over and over...

2) 15-17 yrs - Office assistant. Filing things, going to the post office, errand-girl.

3) 16-18 yrs - Sales associate at Software Etc. So while retail isn't my favorite thing, at least I got paid to talk to people about video games.

4) Now... searching. I hate limbo. >_<

Let's see.

1. Worked with my mom at Lumaquest. They needed the help.

2. Worked at Schiliterbaun, (during the summer) the water park in my hometown as a greeter. Basicly put on the wrist band, help people find where they wanted to go, and cleaned. It got to the point where you would go "Hi, welcome to Schliterbaun. Restrooms and lockers are..." and you'd show them where they were. Also helped the tour giudes with crowd controll.

3. Was a tour guide the second year. Rode around on the tram all day, leting people on and off and telling them what our next stop was going to be. I hated this job with a passion. I think one of the drivers was out to get me or something. I got chewed out in front of the customers by one of my bosses, for making a little mistake. Did crowd controll. I kept this one for 5 weeks and then quit.

Zut alors! You have all had such interesting jobs! Umm..mine consist of:

1) Sanitation Engineer. Oui, for a week in zhe summer I was a janitor at zhe fair in my town. I did bathrooms, halls and stairways. On zhe upside I realized zhe true difference between men and women lies in how zhe bathrooms look. The Ladies is stylish, large and always smells good. The Mens is zhe size of a closet, with chiped paint, and no matter what I did it always stunk. Maybe zhat is of no importance, but I felt like sharing.

2) Working in zhe mailroom at Zhis Week and Enterprise. Ever wonder were all zhose lousy flyers come from when you get zhe paper. ME! I put zhem zhere! And zhey paid me to do it, BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!

3) I helped out at Dowies Stationary cause my mom works zhere. I helped with inventory and I polished zhe gift ware section. It earned me some spending cash and a free pass to zhe movies!
